In the world of erotic fiction and porn, mothers appear to be very popular. MILF, which stands for “Mom I’d Like to Fuck,” is an illustration of a well-liked search term. It was the third most popular category in terms of views, with over 40,000 videos. Similar to this, a search for MILF in the erotica section of Amazon’s Kindle store yields over 10,000 results.
Given the characteristics of male sexual fantasies, it is understandable why MILFs play such a disproportionately significant role in adult entertainment. I surveyed more than 4,000 American adults about their fantasies for my book Tell Me What You Want, and the results revealed that 88% of heterosexual men had previously entertained fantasies about MILFs. Additionally, 42% of respondents admitted to frequently daydreaming about MILFs. Why do so many men find mothers attractive? To understand the appeal of MILFs, we must consider how they are frequently portrayed in the world of porn. Beautiful Vietnamese Sex
These women are frequently portrayed in ways that are very different from how younger women are, according to research. For a study that was published in the Journal of Sex Research, researchers looked at the content of 50 MILF videos and 50 teen videos that were taken from some of the most popular porn websites. They found that MILFs were given more dominant roles in both sexual and non-sexual contexts, which was their main finding.
MILF porn represents a significant gender role reversal from the conventional gender roles that place men as the initiators of sex and women as the gatekeepers. Teenagers were 2.5 times less likely than MILFs to initiate sex. Furthermore, MILFs were much more likely to take control of the circumstance. In actuality, they were nine times more likely than teenagers to be in charge of sex’s pace and content.
The MILFs were also frequently depicted as having greater professional success than their male partners, which was never the case in any of the teen videos. More specifically, it was found that over four out of every five MILFs were employed in high-status jobs like those of manager, judge, or teacher. In contrast, men were typically portrayed in MILF videos as students or low-level employees. These findings imply that men may find MILF porn less appealing than the idea of playing a submissive role to a strong and dominant woman.
My sexual fantasy findings from Tell Me What You Want offer more support for this theory. I found that among straight men, having frequent MILF fantasies was linked to more fantasies of being forced into sex, sexually humiliated, and acting in a submissive manner. Importantly, heterosexual women who reported having more MILF fantasies were also more likely to have fantasies about dominating, humiliating a partner, and forcing sex on someone else. In other words, it appears that certain aspects of BDSM are associated with MILFs in both men and women.
Given that BDSM is one of the most common sexual fantasy themes, it’s possible that people use methods other than MILF scenarios to try to satiate their broader BDSM desires. However, the attraction of MILFs isn’t solely motivated by a need for power and dominance. The fact that men who fantasized about MILFs also tended to have higher levels of attachment anxiety, which suggests that they are less secure in their relationships, was an intriguing discovery I made.
They want a lot of assurance because they fear their partner might break up with them. However, the mere existence of a link indicates that at least a small proportion of men find some psychological solace in the concept of a MILF. Being interested in MILFs is not necessarily a sign that a guy is insecure, as this was a very small association. Men who are afraid of sexual rejection frequently prefer to be with assertive, sex-interest-expressive women. This suggests that these men do not have to put themselves in a position where they must initiate contact with women and risk rejection.
This theory is supported by the finding that men’s MILF fantasies were more frequently associated with fantasies of wanting and being desired. If men had fantasies about MILFs, they were more likely to have fantasies about breast milk. This suggests that some men’s fetishes for breast milk may also affect how attracted they are to mothers. Finally, I found a link between MILF fantasies and fantasies of sexual gratification for a partner. Another reason some guys might be drawn to MILFs is that it’s just easier to appease a woman who is open and honest about her sexual preferences given that MILFs aren’t afraid to express their desires.
The appeal of MILF porn and erotica clearly has a very deep underpinning psychology, but it’s also possible that different men are drawn to MILFs for very different reasons.
